Our Spring Bank Fishing Competition at Elinor is taking place on Sunday* 10th May 2026 at Elinor Trout Fishery. This is a friendly and sociable event, open only to members of the Guild – a great opportunity to meet or catch up with fellow members from other parts of the country. We would love to see more Branches and individual members involved in what is a very friendly and fun day out.
The competition is contested by teams of three but members entering as individuals will be placed into a team if feasible. Registration starts at 8.30 a.m. and we’ll fish from 9.30 a.m. or as soon as registration is complete to 5.00 p.m.
Anglers must kill the first four fish and can then catch and release a further eight. The winning angler and winning team will be the ones with the most fish. The weight of the first four fish will decide the outcome in the event of a tie. There will be a light meal afterwards and prizes for the winning team, best individual bag and largest fish.
